Full page monotype by noted California Artist Arthur J. Krakower (1921-2006).

This marvelous early monotype by Krakower is one of his best. Taking up the entire sheet of paper, there are no plate marks.

Arthur Krakower was the oldest person to ever receive a degree from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. He was in his 80’s when he took a new found interest in painting.

Signed lower left with notes on the back. Very good condition. Comes unframed.

A monotype is created by applying a generous amount of paint to a plate glass, and pressing the glass onto paper. The print is then hand embellished by the artist, until the desired effect is achieved.
