Silkscreen over wood with a hand gilded edge under a heavy coat of clear lacquer.
Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988) was an Italian painter, sculptor, interior decorator and engraver. He lived most of his life in Milan, attending the Brera Art Academy from 1930-1932. During WWII, he went into exile in Switzerland.
This large and impressive piece measures 40″ x 40″ and is ready to hang.
