Victorian Anglo-Indian Carved Padauk Wood & Inlay Folding Side Table c.1900
Superb late 19th to early 20th century hand carved Anglo-Indian side table. This table folds up for easy storage, though hiding it away for occasional use would be a shame. This table has so much charm and character you’ll want to have it for daily use.
The table is carved from solid African Padauk wood, which is sometimes referred to as Vermillion. This exotic wood comes from Central and tropical West Africa.
Being completely hand carved, this table must have taken many hours of work to complete. The table top has been finished off with fine natural inlay work. The end result is absolutely stunning.
This table is in very good antique condition, with one small piece of inlay missing. This can be easily restored with a bit of creativity.
The table measures 25″ x 25″ across, by 23.5″ high.
Though the table has a folding base, once assembled it is strong and steady.
